Worn or bare ground graded and laid to sod, so you have grass instead of a plan for grass.

Efren and his brother
JR Gallegos Landscaping is Efren Gallegos and his brother. They do the saw work and the planting themselves, which is why the two men in the photo above are the two men who turn up.
Most of it is residential. A front bed rebuilt from bare soil. A silver maple with limbs hanging over the roof. A lawn kept on a round so it never gets away from anyone. Some of the work is on large properties with pools and stone paths, and some of it is the strip of ground beside a driveway that has never once looked right.

What people ask before they book
Do you do tree work and landscaping, or just one?
Both, with the same crew. It is the reason one call usually covers the whole yard instead of two.
Can you take a tree down close to the house?
Yes. Big ones come down in sections when there is nowhere to drop them, and dead limbs over a roof or a patio come off first.
Do I have to be there for an estimate?
Not always. Send photos of the yard and you will usually get a number back; anything bigger gets a walk-round.
How late do you work?
Until eight most weeknights, and Saturday until three. Sunday is the day off.
Do you keep lawns on a schedule?
Yes — mowing, edging and clean-ups on a regular round rather than one-off visits.
